#4 - The train engine has started to move
3 videos posted now, with many more to come. Instead of the grueling 24+ hours of editing the first videos took to make, this weeks video was done in half the time, so I must be getting better at utilizing my tools and software. I’m really happy with how my summiting mount thielsen video turned out, I hope you also like it. We’re already in full swing on the next video, with even more crazy antics. Like pretty much every post, this next video will also be different haha. I’ll find my go to niche(s) eventually.
CO has been wonderful so far. Been on a few hikes already. I’m enjoying the weather and friendliness of the city. Can’t wait to show you what it’s like here in future videos!
#3 - The beginning has finally come
It has been about four months since I tended to this blog, but forgive me if I succumb to bulletpoints due to editing exhaustion.
Our first video(s) are live! This is good news indeed.
I moved to Denver CO and am loving it so far.
My wrist has finally been healed to completion.
More videos and blog posts to come NEXT WEEK! :)
Stay frosty,
#2: Things got delayed
So a global pandemic happened. I don’t believe anyone expected 2020 to go this badly. The inability to schedule with actors, reach out to strangers, and go out in the world in general has been majorly detrimental to us. I feel for those who are struggling at this time - my heart goes out to you all. In addition to many of our video ideas becoming impossible at this moment, I also broke my wrist and my car broke down, so needless to say it’s been a tough month+ for getting the business off the ground. Plans to unveil the website and YouTube channel are still commencing, albeit pushed back a few months. It’s hard to edit or even type with a cast :-/. But we’re still here, we’re still pumped to start this journey, and things will return to normal. Patience and time are all we got.
Singing off for now.
#1: Starting off fresh
It all begins with an idea. Or so squarespace tells me. Maybe it starts with a motive? Hard to say for sure. But this journey I’m on - it’s happening now and I can feel the excitement surrounding me.
Look, starting a business is hard. You got to put yourself out there - hang out all your dirty crumpled laundry to dry, except your neighbors tend to be in far greater numbers than just Jenny with her binoculars up the hill. People will be watching. You gotta be on guard but also be yourself, a balance not so simple to achieve.
This blog is primarily an avenue for myself (and my partner, if he so chooses) to vent our thoughts, frustrations, and struggles of starting a business from the ground up. It won’t be easy. The road is long and treacherous but rarely is anything long-lasting easy to build up. I don’t know if it will take six months, six years, or a few decades and some change to get where we need to go, but damn me if I don’t shiver in my grave had I not tried while I still can.
As the company (hopefully) progresses to a sustainable level, this blog can evolve along with it to showcase behind the scenes, extras, or anything not substantial enough to showcase on the YouTube channel but not ghastly enough to throw away in the trash. I suspect the entry’s here will be few and far between at first, but once the ball starts to roll this blog, like the rest of the company along with it, will start to find its stride.
